Top 30 Winners of Online Art Contest, #21daysofearthists

We all turn to art to uplift us, no matter what the form

To encourage art and get those creative juices flowing even during the lockdown, we came up with the ‘#21daysofearthists‘ challenge, which is the first online art contest hosted by ‘Sir. J. J Institute of Applied Art’ and its annual magazine brand Amaze‘. This initiative was to encourage and create an online art platform for anyone who wanted to explore their creative minds, during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Who are the ‘Earthists’?

This was an open challenge to everyone, be it a hobby artist, art student, professional; irrespective of age, institution, or occupation. You just have to be an ‘Earthist‘- a citizen of this planet. An online art contest that would engage anyone! Literally, anyone who had the nerves to get crazy and create some ingenious artworks.

What was the Challenge?

The challenge: to use designing skills to execute the task/ challenge given. A prompt (such as a word or an image) was given just the day before, and the most creative artworks of the day were featured on our page! The intention was to invoke visual expressions through personal interpretations of the prompt given.

Rules

The task could be in any format or medium, open from; design, photography, poetry, storytelling and more! No restrictions at all, with regards to who the contestants are or what form they choose to express. However the only mandatary drill was to tag @sir_jjiaa & @jj_amaze and hashtag us on every entry with ‘#21daysofearthists‘.

Results

This online art contest really helped in getting some artistic minds to create some fabulous artworks. The response was overwhelming and we got 450+ artworks, in the 21 days duration of the challenge. Even though there was a common prompt for everyone, on any particular day, the artworks that resulted, were indeed versatile. Every entry was special and unique in its own way.
